New/Edit Freelancer Quote window can be used to enter or edit Freelancer Quote.

To create a freelancer quote:

1. Click Freelancer icon in the Freelancers section of navigation bar.

2. Click Main tab and select a freelancer whose quote you wish to enter into Projetex 7.0.

3. Click Quotes tab of Freelancer window.

4. Click New button.

 

Entering freelancer quote data

Date sent — except for reference, this date will also be used by Global Date filter. Please see Global Date Filter topic for details.

Code — code of the quote is generated automatically. In this code "Q" character means that this is a quote, letters afterwards represent code of the freelancer entered in his or her profile, and the number is the value of quote counter for this freelancer. Each freelancer has independent code counter for quotes.

Status — settings in this drop-down list determine the color in which the quote will be shown in the list on Quotes tab of Freelancer window or on Quotes from Freelancers window.

Possible Job — name of the job being quoted can be maximum 100 characters long.

Service — each group of services contains a separate list of services. Select group of services before selecting a service. To add or edit a service please open menu Settings > Corporate, and select Services section.

Volume — when entering volume being quoted, you can either use the volumes specified by freelancer, or count possible freelance job file with built-in AnyCount. CAT analysis can also be used to devise draft job volume. To count a file, click <=AnyCount button. To enter CAT analysis or load Trados or Logoport log, click <=CATCount button. Please refer to AnyCount in Projetex 7.0, and CATCount in Projetex 7.0 topics for details.

_bm3 Note: Please make sure that correct volume units have been set before using AnyCount or CATCount options. Jobs in such volume units as hours, for example, cannot be counted with AnyCount.

Price — price value can be either entered manually or copied from the individual price-list of freelancer. Click <=Prices button to copy price from freelancer's price list. Click => button to add this price to freelancer's price-list.

Quote folder — quote folders are created in Quotes folder located inside each freelancer's folder. Quote code is used in naming the quote folder. This folder will be created in Quotes folder inside the folder of respective freelancer.

Timeline — like regular job, quote has assigned and deadline dates.

Custom Fields — quotes can also contain custom data (for example custom statuses, dates or notes) added in the form of custom fields. If you have any custom fields in freelancer quotes, their controls can be found on the Custom Fields tab. For more information on adding custom fields please see Custom Fields topic.

 

Saving and printing freelancer quote

To save freelancer quote as an RTF document, first apply changes made to this quote by clicking Apply button. Once the quote has been saved in database, RTF template controls for it will become active.

Use RTF Templates drop-down list to select the template which must be used for saving this client quote in an RTF file.

_bm3 Note: You can choose to save the output file in PDF or DOC format by selecting this format in Save As window with the help of Save as type drop-down list.

To edit templates for quotes click menu Settings > Current user and select Templates. Templates for freelancer quotes are located at \...\Projetex 7.0\Projetex Workstation\Templates\EXPERTS\FREELANCER\Quotes\ folder.
