Projetex 7.0 Server can be installed on any PC, not necessarily your local Server. All your workflow data is stored in a secure database file on your Projetex 7.0 Server PC. It is recommended to install and register Projetex 7.0 Server before installing Projetex 7.0 Workstation. It is not recommended to install older versions of Projetex after you install Projetex 7.0. In case such need arises, please uninstall Projetex 7.0. To install Projetex 7.0 Server 1. Download Projetex 7.0 Workstation setup file using the following link: http://download.projetex.com/Projetex7Setup.exe 2. Run Projetex7ServerSetup.exe and proceed with the Setup Wizard steps, and select Server Installation option. 2.1. During the setup procedure, Projetex 7.0 Setup will prompt you to select components to install.
Projetex 7.0 Database options Setup can install one of the two available databases, or not to install database at all.
Projetex 7.0 database file is located on Server PC in Projetex 7.0 Server setup folder: \Projetex 7.0\Projetex Server\Database\Projetex.fdb
Server Administrator is a ‘control center’ of Projetex 7.0 Server. It is only a management tool, which enables you to control and monitor Firebird Database Server. If you close Projetex 7.0 Server Administrator window will not stop Projetex 7.0 Server. It is recommended to leave this check box selected.
Projetex 7.0 Server requires Firebird Database Server installed on the same computer to operate. In case you already have Firebird installed, Setup will reinstall it to make sure that your Firebird is compatible with Projetex 7.0. It is recommended to leave this check box selected. Installing Firebird during Projetex 7.0 Setup will not affect operation of other AIT Firebird-based products installed on your PC — Projetex 2006 Server and AnyLexic 2.0 Server.
During this procedure Projetex 7.0 will configure Firebird Server installed to work securely with Projetex 7.0 Database. It is recommended to leave this check box selected.
