Projetex 7.0 Server Setup

Projetex 7.0 Server can be installed on any PC, not necessarily your local Server. All your workflow data is stored in a secure database file on your Projetex 7.0 Server PC. It is recommended to install and register Projetex 7.0 Server before installing Projetex 7.0 Workstation.

It is not recommended to install older versions of Projetex after you install Projetex 7.0. In case such need arises, please uninstall Projetex 7.0.

2. Run Projetex7ServerSetup.exe and proceed with the Setup Wizard steps, and select Server Installation option.

2.1. During the setup procedure, Projetex 7.0 Setup will prompt you to select components to install.

Note: To quickly select only server components, use drop-down list to select Server Installation option.

Setup can install one of the two available databases, or not to install database at all.

•	Demo database. Select this option if you are installing Projetex 7.0 for evaluation. This database contains some records, imitating the workflow data of a translation agency.

•	Empty database. Select this option to install clean database before you begin entering your actual workflow data to Projetex 7.0. If you already have a database installed, please move away or delete this database, before running Projetex 7.0 Server Setup.

•	Do not install database. In case you are just updating your System Administrator software, and you already have your database up and running and there is no need to install another one.

Note: As a security measure, Projetex 7.0 Server Setup under no circumstances will overwrite existing database. If you would like to install new database, please remove or delete existing database file manually before running Projetex 7.0 Setup.

Projetex 7.0 database file is located on Server PC in Projetex 7.0 Server setup folder: \Projetex 7.0\Projetex Server\Database\Projetex.fdb

Server Administrator is a ‘control center’ of Projetex 7.0 Server. It is only a management tool, which enables you to control and monitor Firebird Database Server. If you close Projetex 7.0 Server Administrator window will not stop Projetex 7.0 Server. It is recommended to leave this check box selected.

Projetex 7.0 Server requires Firebird Database Server installed on the same computer to operate. In case you already have Firebird installed, Setup will reinstall it to make sure that your Firebird is compatible with Projetex 7.0. It is recommended to leave this check box selected. Installing Firebird during Projetex 7.0 Setup will not affect operation of other AIT Firebird-based products installed on your PC — Projetex 2006 Server and AnyLexic 2.0 Server.

•	Prepare Firebird Server for work with Projetex.

During this procedure Projetex 7.0 will configure Firebird Server installed to work securely with Projetex 7.0 Database. It is recommended to leave this check box selected.
