Projetex Terms of Service
Last updated: 2025.02.07
Welcome to Projetex! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the Projetex application, specifically its OAuth2 integration with Google and Outlook for configuring SMTP settings. By using this feature, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the OAuth2-based email integration in Projetex.
1. Description of Service
Projetex allows users to configure SMTP settings via OAuth2 authentication with Google (Gmail) and Outlook (Microsoft 365, Outlook.com). This integration provides a secure method for Projetex to send emails on behalf of the user’s email account.
2. OAuth2 Authentication & Data Usage
2.1. OAuth2 Scope & Permissions
- Projetex requests OAuth2 authentication to allow users to configure SMTP settings securely.
- The app requests only the minimum required scopes:
- Google:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send
- Outlook:
https://outlook.office.com/SMTP.Send
- Google:
- Projetex does not access, read, or store your emails. It only sends emails using your authorized SMTP account.
2.2. Storage of Authentication Credentials
- OAuth2 tokens are securely stored and never shared with third parties.
- Tokens are used only to authenticate outgoing emails from the Projetex application.
- Users can revoke OAuth2 access at any time via their Google or Microsoft security settings.
2.3. User Consent & Security
- You must authorize Projetex to use your email service via OAuth2 before sending emails.
- Projetex never requests or stores passwords; authentication is handled directly by Google and Microsoft servers.
- All OAuth2 communication is encrypted to protect your credentials.
3. User Responsibilities
3.1. Compliance with Email Providers’ Policies
By using Projetex’s email integration, you agree to comply with:
- Google’s API Services User Data Policy (Google Policies)
- Microsoft’s API Terms of Use (Microsoft Policies)
You must not use Projetex to send:
- Spam, unsolicited emails, or phishing messages
- Fraudulent, illegal, or harmful content
Failure to comply may result in OAuth2 access revocation by Google or Microsoft.
3.2. Email Sending Limits
Your email provider may enforce sending limits. Google and Outlook impose limits to prevent spam and abuse. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary restrictions. Please review:
- Google SMTP Limits: Google Support
- Outlook SMTP Limits: Microsoft Support
4. Termination & Revocation
- You may revoke Projetex’s access to your email account at any time via your Google or Microsoft security settings.
- Projetex may disable OAuth2 functionality if we detect suspicious activity, abuse, or security risks.
5. Limitation of Liability
Projetex is not responsible for:
- Any service interruptions caused by Google or Microsoft.
- Emails flagged as spam, blocked, or delayed by email providers.
- Unauthorized access due to compromised credentials outside of Projetex.
6. Updates & Changes
We may update these Terms to comply with changes in Google’s or Microsoft’s policies. Continued use of Projetex’s OAuth2 integration after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
